I was going to write a post here about the easy availability in Los Angeles ( and this was the case in all big American cities and even in smaller towns) of great comic books, Garbage Pail Kids, cartoons (on free TV) in the 1980s ...but I've decided that there's too much there for one post, and indeed there is.
Times were rather different, but not extremely different.
There's a lot that I wanted to say here about my experience of life in the 1980s in Los Angeles (mostly in East Hollywood), but there's quite much to say and I'm not sure where to begin.
So this post is one of my first steps towards expressing that experience on Blogger. A lot of what I experienced in the 1980s (and 1990s) was of course ineffable.
